Gidel & Kocal Construction Co., Inc., a General Contractor specializing in commercial construction, is proud to announce national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council - Pacific, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

“Being the President of Gidel & Kocal Construction holds a very deep significance for me personally. First, my sister and I are able to carry on our father’s legacy. He has spent over 40 years of his life building this company and we plan to run it with the same integrity and values that he instilled in us and ran this company by for all those years. Secondly, I hope being a female owner in a very male dominated world gives inspiration to other women that are considering entering this field. All people should be able to do what they love, no matter the job and no matter their sex. It was important for us to become certified through the WBENC because not only does it empower and help other women owned businesses, but it also enables us, as a company, to team up with and support other businesses like ours.”   - Ashley Gidel

The WBENC standard of certification implemented by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council - Pacific is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by a woman or women.
