For our first in-person luncheon since 2020, you’ll receive an exclusive update from three of the Valley’s hottest cities. Hear from leaders of San Mateo, Mountain View and Milpitas about economic development and projects that will reshape our area for years to come. 

We'll be outdoors in a covered space with good airflow at Scott's Seafood in downtown San Jose. We are limiting this luncheon to 55 attendees. Lunch includes a salad, your choice of chicken, steak, salmon or vegetarian entree and dessert.


Jennifer Chen, Economic Development Manager, City of San Mateo

San Mateo is one of those Peninsula cities that has it all: A lively and growing downtown; a regional mall that recently completed a re-vamp; and one of the area's biggest mixed-use redevelopments -- Bay Meadows. How has San Mateo kept pace with growth and what's ahead for the next few years? Come hear about the City's economic recovery efforts, real estate news, planning and project updates.

John Lang, Economic Vitality Manager, Mountain View

Mountain View has seen tremendous growth over the last few years, with major changes in its downtown, North Bayshore, and El Camino corridors. As the City prepares to undertake a new Economic Vitality Strategy, we'll learn about the City's efforts to maintain its position as a desirable spot for business.

Daniel Degu, Economic Development Coordinator, Milpitas

Perfectly positioned between the East Bay and Silicon Valley and the Peninsula, Milpitas has a lot going on these days: A new BART station opened in 2020 and thousands of homes have been constructed nearby (a dynamic which recently lured a new Trader Joe's).  Meanwhile industrial users such as Amazon, and advanced manufacturers, have also been growing in the City. We'll learn about the City's efforts to capture more economic growth in the years ahead.

Laura Kreuger, Kreuger Properties

Laura Kreuger is a principal with Kreuger Properties who brings a diverse real estate background in the Valley, leading her family’s boutique real estate investment and management portfolio. Primarily focused in multifamily, Kreuger Properties is a growing enterprise actively expanding into the commercial sector.
