Monthly Program & Luncheon
The CREW SV Industry Leaders series brings you intimate conversations with top players in CRE. Our goal is to inspire, inform, and educate through thoughtful conversations with industry women as they address their career, industry challenges, leadership, and more.
We are thrilled to welcome Melinda Ellis Evers as our first conversation in this series. She is a Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Ellis Partners, one of the leading commercial real estate developers and investors in the San Francisco Bay Area. You may know Ellis Partners from recent projects including 101 Tech in San Jose; the Pruneyard in Campbell; and Town and Country Village in Palo Alto, to name a few.
Ms. Evers’ primary responsibilities are to formulate and oversee company strategy and operations as well as lead capital raising for the firm. Melinda started her real estate career with A.R. Jarvis & Company, a regional mortgage brokerage firm, and spent seven years in acquisitions and portfolio management with Grubb & Ellis Realty Advisers prior to the founding of Ellis Partners.
Ms. Evers holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She is a Member of Lambda Alpha, the Urban Land Institute, the Stanford Professionals in Real Estate, the Policy Advisory Board of the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics and serves as the co-head of the fundraising committee for the PREA Foundation. Ms. Evers is a guest lecturer at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. Ms. Evers’ past board affiliations include The Foundation for San Francisco’s Architectural Heritage, Bay Area Mortgage Association, Homeless Prenatal Program, San Francisco Day School and Safe and Sound. She is currently a board member of The UCSF Foundation Investment Company.
Nathan Donato-Weinstein, CREW SV's immediate Past President, will lead the conversation with Ms. Evers. Nathan is a business development officer for San Jose’s Office of Economic Development and takes particular interest in the future of retail, office design and talent attraction. Prior to joining the city, Nathan was the real estate reporter at the Silicon Valley Business Journal, with a focus on deal coverage, policy, market trends and transportation.
