SAN JOSE DEVELOPMENT & CITY INITIATIVES
Nate will provide a update on development and city initiatives with an emphasis on news you can use:
- Learn about the new Opportunity Zone program, passed as part of the new federal tax plan, including where they are and what it may mean for businesses and real estate activity. This program is designed to spur investment in certain underserved parts of the city by providing attractive tax benefits for investors and for companies choosing to locate in them.
- Get the latest on what’s getting proposed and an update on projects that might have flown under your radar. We’ll also chart certain geographic hot spots and analyze what’s driving them.
- We’ll quickly go over a few policy initiatives, relating to housing, retail, and urban villages.
- Nate’s tips and tricks: handy online tools to self-service simple questions relating to planning or building.
The aim is to keep it breezy, fun and interesting, so expect a conversational approach.
**Lunch will be provided**
Presented by CREW SV member Nathan Donato-Weinstein, Senior Executive Analyst for San Jose’s Office of Economic Development.
