Panel discussion and perspectives from CREW SV Presidents on their experiences and insights into CRE women in leadership. We will focus on CREW SV leadership and also each panelists own experiences at large with women in CRE in the past, present, and future.

Featuring:

Sara Mancuso

Sarah is a Past President of CREW SV, and brings 20 years in the CRE industry. She currently oversees 8 JLL corporate offices throughout the entire Northern California region. Her responsibilities include bolstering the tenant rep, agency leasing, property management, and project management businesses, with industry focuses such as office, industrial, retail, hospitality and multifamily. She has experienced how the dynamic nature of real estate creates unique opportunities for investors and clients alike, and is passionate about developing solutions and executing wins for clients and colleagues. Prior to JLL, Sarah was a director at Harvest Properties, managing property management activities, investment strategy, and overseeing construction for capital projects. Before that, she held roles with Ohana Real Estate Investors, Broadreach Capital Partners, Hines and Ernst & Young.
 

Penny Rietschel

Penny earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from The University of Texas at Austin in 1997 and is a Registered Interior Designer (RID) in Texas and a Certified Interior Designer (CID) in California. She is also a LEED Accredited Professional, specializing in Building Design and Construction (LEED AP BD+C). In 2013, Penny was recognized as one of Silicon Valley Business Journal’s “Women of Influence”.

As a Senior Project Manager, Penny has managed large-scale, multi-phased projects for a number of clients in the US and Asia. Penny leverages collaborative, cross-functional teams and maintains an organized approach to solving complex design and construction issues, yielding a high-quality project that exceeds client expectations. The camaraderie she establishes with the team from programming through completion has forged strong and long-lasting relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and city officials.
 

Michelle L. Goudeaux

Michelle L. Goudeaux is the current CREW SV President and a Director with Columbia Property Trust, bringing over 28 years of experience in real estate. Michelle has a true heart for community and has the privilege to serve on a few boards where their missions are in line with what is truly important to her, financial literacy, education, youth, and Senior citizens.

 

Ginger L. Gonzales-Sotelo

Ginger L. Gonzales-Sotelo is a Past President of CREW SV and is also a partner with Pahl & McCay. Her areas of concentration include Commercial Litigation and Business Litigation, focusing on Real Estate and financial institution matters. She also has extensive operational and transactional experience in many facets of commercial Real Estate, including development, leasing, finance, and operations.

Ms. Sotelo graduated from San Jose State University in 1997 with a degree in Business Administration (Finance) and a minor in Political Science. She received her Juris Doctor in 2000 from Loyola Law School. Ms. Sotelo is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women – Silicon Valley, a member and foundation board member for Rotary San Jose Downtown, and was formerly a Santa Clara County Human Relations Commissioner and Board Member for Momentum for Health and University Preparatory Academy Foundation.
 

Payal Vora - Moderator

Payal Vora is the founder of Payal Vora Associates, and a Materials Engineer specialising in building envelope forensics, Property Condition Assessments (PCA, ASTM E2018), and related CRE pre-purchase due diligence. She also holds an MBA from INSEAD (France) and LEED AP BD+C credentials. Her career in CRE engineering and consulting spans over 13 years with projects throughout the US. Prior to that Payal was a scientist for materials development and invention of high tech aerospace/magnetics alloys. She has authored numerous publications in both industries and is a counselor to women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
